Titanic hit iceberg 26 August 2010

Late night 11.30pm

Both of them start their reading time, each of them took 5 books on their hand. That mean I need to read 10 books before touching my pillow.

Since my girl's books reached me first, then I start reading books fast from book 1 to 4.

Tonight, the last book on my girl side was "Titanic", this whole books around 60+ pages + full of words in each pages. I almost fainted. I skip the first few chapters and start on chapters 3 when the Titanic scaped along the iceberg and ice cold water was flooding the cargo and boiler rooms.

Suprisingly, both of them interested in this story with fully concentration. Along the story telling, they keep asking a lots of questions.

Mommy asking a question: "The officers asked women and children to board the safe boats first." If four of us was on the Titanic ship. What should we do? Daddy cannot ride the safe boat with us. Should we go ahead without daddy or all of us together with daddy on the ship?

My boy start thinking and my girl as well. She keep silent and wait for her brother to answer first. Jonathan start answering " Mommy, Jie jie and me will go to life boats without daddy!". After a while, I question back "Then, daddy will left at the Titanic alone and the titanic will sink."

Hahaha......Jonathan continue and question me back "Mommy, can we don't aboard on the "Titanic", I don't like Titanic, both of them start yelling "It's too dangerous!".

I told daddy " You son want to left you on the Titanic and go ahead alone on the life boats. Daddy laugh and shake his head. hahaha.....his lovely son want to left him on the Titanic. So poor daddy!

After the Titanic story, he was sleepy and Chloe was already sleeping beside me. I taught that I had no need to read his part of books and switch off the light prepared to enjoy my sleeping time.

He woke up after few minutes! "Mommy, you haven't read my books!" I'm almost fainted! Switch on the light and continue reading...until the last books. He finally sleep when I read the last 2 pages.

Nowadays, My children can't sleep without reading. I'm so glad both of you love reading so much! We have been using a quote from a Taiwan author on reading habit.

"No reading for one day, your face will change."
"No reading for three days, you will become a pig."

Both of them laugh at this motivation quote by the author. hahaha.........In fact, this quote already in their heart and they practising this quote automatically.

The movie - Home Alone one 22 August 2010

Both of them were watching "Home Alone 1 and 2" on 22 August and 24 August night cinema at home. A very good movie for family while children earn somethings from it. Sure, they laugh all the way especially Jonathan. His father were looking at him when he laugh louder than everyone at home.

Jonathan commented on the movie and the Actor named "Kelvin" on 24 night before the Home Alone 2 started.

" This boy is so smart, brave and intelligent. He brave enough to protect himself and scared the bad people with his very own ideas. He is not scared to stay alone without daddy and mommy."

While my daughter keep silence... ...

Boxes art 20 August 2010

In the afternoon



Chloe requested to do submarine that she told me last night about her fantasy. I was too tired and have a nap after I pass her a lots of small size and medium size boxes.


Chloe work hard on the submarine and fail....I only knew it when I wake up. At that time, she already having her nap. "Good try!"



Jonathan invented his own flying car in the city. He is so satisfy and told me all the funtions of his super car!

Time flies! My boy and girl going to turn 5 and 6 in next few months. Both of them have totally different characters and attitude.


You like books, I love art & craft.
You like cars and robots, I love playing in my kitchen.
I love to let my hand clean, while I love to wet my hand and get dirty everywhere.



You are great! You love books so much, although sometime you may reluctant to do your writing and request me to hold your hand or do on your behalf. Mommy believe when the time come, you are able to do things on your own. You are so brave enough to dream! And keep request how to work the dream out. OK, mommy promised I will let you attend the Lego holiday programmed and explore more on robotics. Let's us work it out.



I sense something different in you. You are caring, loving and great attitude. You massage me when I'm get tired. I feel so great and all the tiredness gone. Now, you are ready to attend primary one next year, you are able to do your works on your own and even do your own revision. It's marvellous! You must bear in mind - You can do it, you must be brave, you must belief in yourself and finally you may achieve what you dream.

Jonathan was waiting to do this experiment before going back home. We taught that the activity will be carry out on the 3rd floor. While we heading to the front desk, we saw a lots of people sitting on the staircase near the main door. Here we go... ...

Put some water in the bottle, place it on the launcher and pam, pam pam using air pump....then when the pressure inside the bottle is full. The rocket will fly away high in the sky.

Jonathan and Chloe try around 4-5 times until they are satisfy!

Energy month - Hot Air Balloon @PSN 21 August 2010

We were going to create an easy hot air balloon today! Jonathan and Chloe were running toward me when the experiment was going to start.

A small garbage plastic beg, tape, scissor and burner. That all what we need.

The plastic will fly away when the hot air fill full.

Great experience! Both of them dare to hold the plastic and let the hot air fill in the plastic at first. They start trying when they saw the plastic fly up high near the ceiling.

It seem like very simple experiment but fun! Wow, it seem like a great day!

Jonathan read up to 10 books and resist to go out (sit on the floor) with an agreement to read one more book before going out. Huh.......

Green peas on 12th August 2010

Late night around 10pm

Green peas planting on the wet cotton

Chloe was revised her books while I'm preparing the materials for the experiment. All we need were cotton, green peas, bottle and some water.

This time, we try somethings different by preparing two bottles, one with cover and one without cover. Our objective was to observe how the green peas develop and growth on with air and with limited air in the bottle.

Observation:

Day 1 on 13 August 2010 - Green peas start sprout out for both bottles.

Day 2 on 14 August 2010 - What a surprise, both green peas seem to have same growth.

Day 3 on 15 August 2010 - Green peas start to growth taller now.

Day 4 on 16 August 2010 - Our green peas grow around 3 inches for both bottles.

Day 5 on 17 August 2010 - We see the green leaves from the peas and now around 4 inches.

Day 6 on 18 August 2010 - Green peas growth around 5 inches. All the water on the cotton seem dry now. We expect that the green peas will dry and die soon.

Day 7 & 8 from 19-20 August 2010 - The green peas getting dry and change to brown color.

Conclusion:

All the green peas reached the same growth disgarding with cover or without cover. Green peas will sprout when the neccessities of water, air + sun elements were there.

From Solid to Liquid to gas on 17th August 2010

Late night around 10pm

Science lab begin, today we are going to explore from ice to water, from water to gas.
We just need ice.

Chloe just have fun!

Step 1: Put ice in the bowl

Step 2: Solids melt to become liquid

Step 3: Chloe was testing when the water will get warm and hot. She dare to touch the chopstick when all the ice melt.

Step 4: Liquids evaporate into gasses

The water boil and the gasses come out. It become more easy to visualise when we cover back the cover and open again.

Sunday Morning around 11am

The yellow flag was up, The King and the Queen were in. Jonathan was curious why we can't go in! Our King and the Queen will have a new palace next year, hope this palace will remain as museum in future which open to public.

Then, we will understand more on our King and Queen.

This is private area, nobody should enter without permission!

Tonight, she asked me whether I can be her customer. "Can you play with me?" while I was do my cleaning in the kitchen. Ok....Let's order, what do you want to eat! (She even prepared with paper and pen!)

Telescope on 12 August 2010

Telescope from Tesco, Chloe love it so much!

We had been bringing this Telescope to the park to see bird on the tree. But at the end, we can't see anything.

Finally, Chloe was able to see somethings tonight. She saw a part of praying tables appear on her telescope screen.

Mommy still find how to work it out! Aiyo....

After we heading to the carpark, we saw this car!

Daddy said that this car only reached Malaysia early of this year. We were so lucky to see this car. Do you guy guess, where were all the girls? Chloe and me doesn't seem interested and sit & wait inside the car since the weather was hot. In the meanwhile, 2 of them round and round again to check on the car.

Swimming progress....without float! 11th August 2010

Bravo...Fanstastic!

Finally, Chloe brave enough to take off her hand float and try to float on the water. She was even post and sit at the bottom of the swimming pool. Wow....

At the end of the swimming, Chloe show me that she was able to swim without float.

It is time to let Chloe to have her own private instructor. Hope both of them could start their swimming class on long holiday in December.

This event organised annually.

Yummy, cempedak, langsat....

Big wild banana and "Forgot what this called" - some kind of rambutan.

We bought some corns, langsat, rambutan and etc...

Surprise to our field trip today....Chloe was so happy...and Jonathan wish to buy durian. Wow......
